The Geometry of Kinship

The Jopps decided early on that traditional, stiff family photography wasn't for them. They craved a modern aesthetic, a touch of sass, and an experience completely focused on the genuine dynamics between parents, siblings, and partners. The Country Club Plaza provided the ultimate sophisticated backdrop for their family portraiture.

The morning was filled with reacquainted warmth, bridging the past and the present with effortless ease. They embraced the striking contrast of Jackie’s fierce, protective admiration and Matt’s quiet, mischievous teasing, exchanging classic, smiling glances before breaking out into unfiltered, goofy strides. There were no artificial expectations or forced smiles to adhere to, allowing me to simply document the striking contrast of their easygoing confidence against the architectural landscape of the city.

At the conclusion of the session, they sought refuge in the simple pleasure of each other's company, celebrating the bonds of marriage, new partnerships, and individual independence alike. It was an incredibly grounding day, proving that sometimes the most meaningful celebrations require nothing more than breaking the ice, finding your rhythm, and showing up entirely as yourselves.
