A Decade of Friendship, A Evening of Grace

Soft nursery light, a peaceful newborn slumber, and the warm, golden air of a Westport spring. This intimate in-home session was a raw, deeply personal celebration of new life stripped down to its absolute most beautiful essentials.
Chrissy and Brian decided early on that a sterile, studio newborn session wasn't for them. They craved comfort, a sense of place, and an experience completely focused on welcoming their baby boy, Ignatius, into the quiet sanctuary of their home. Their own sun-drenched spaces provided the ultimate tender backdrop for these first portraits.
The evening was warm and gentle, full of a nostalgic sense of history that stretched back over a decade of friendship. They embraced the striking contrast of a long-standing bond and the brand-new magic of parenthood, exchanging adoring glances as the spring sun peaked perfectly through the nursery window. There were no rigid setups or artificial lighting grids to adhere to, allowing me to simply document the striking contrast of their absolute devotion against the quiet, natural environment of the home.
After the session, as a brief bout of fussiness melted back into a deep sleep, they sought refuge in the quiet comfort of a shared family rest. It was an incredibly grounding evening, proving that sometimes the most meaningful celebrations require nothing more than an open window, an honored history, and a tiny new life doted on by the ones who love him most.
