A Symphony of Soft and Sarcastic

Theresa & Ryan

Wedding

St. Joseph Catholic Church

September 27th, 2025

A quiet grace, a goofy heart, and the sun-drenched warmth of a late September afternoon. This classic, sentimental celebration was a raw, unscripted collision of opposites stripped down to its absolute most beautiful essentials.

Theresa and Ryan decided early on that a fleeting, overly trendy wedding wasn't for them. They craved simplicity, timeless memories, and an experience completely focused on a love that balances each other perfectly. St. Joseph Catholic Church and The Venue at Leawood provided the ultimate classic backdrop for their vows.

The morning was bright and sun-drenched, full of shared history and a nostalgic sense of coming home. They embraced the striking contrast of her sweet, shy demeanor and his outgoing, sarcastic wit, exchanging meaningful vows before a familiar high school priest under the soaring church ceilings. There were no elaborate productions or complicated timelines to adhere to, allowing me to simply document the striking contrast of their quiet love against the hot, vibrant environment of the park portraits.

After the ceremony, they sought refuge on the crowded dance floor with friends and family, eventually winding down the night over late-night taquitos and simple, candid laughter. It was an incredibly grounding day, proving that sometimes the most meaningful celebrations require nothing more than a couple looking at the camera from the altar, knowing these are the photos they will cherish forever.
